WellView is a recognized leader in well information data models with a comprehensive well information and operations database from well planning to abandonment. The data is normalized, meaning that there is only one spot for each discrete piece of data. This one-stop data model allows you to query and report consistently, greatly easing the burden of data entry.
The WellView schematic is the industry standard. WellView’s schematic is automatically drawn from data entered in the database. The schematic is live to the data; users can double-click the image to edit or add more details. In addition, the schematic contains all events throughout the lifecycle of the wellbore and can be displayed at any point in the well’s timeline. Templates can be easily created to show different depth and time based data elements.
Fast, accurate and hassle-free reporting drastically reduces the time necessary to pull and report critical data.
Completely customize and tailor your reporting to your needs. Virtually infinite customizations of reports and graphs are available, without any programming knowledge or IT assistance required. Reports are live and current, empowering users to click any piece of data to hyperlink directly into the WellView editor, where they can review or edit the data as necessary. The report engine also allows you to export data directly to an Excel template.

WellView is a true electronic well file system with a comprehensive data model and file attachments. You can attach Excel, PDF, Word and image files to the well file and store them within the database for easy collaboration, organization and recall. Attachments give companies an easy way to manage all documents, including legacy morning reports from Excel or paper files.
FIELD COMMUNICATION AND DATA SYNCHRONIZATION
WellView has the most powerful yet flexible field data transfer system available. WellView’s two-way exchange of data and flexible Microsoft-based communications reduce field data problems and reliance on IT support.
WellView includes a full DBMS security model, which crucially protects the data at the database level. Your vital data remains secure at all times, whether using WellView or any other database viewer or editor.

WITSML DATA IMPORTS
Leverage the WITSML add-in to import data directly from the responsible service companies. Import mud, frac, directional details without the need to re-key the data. WellView also supports importing detailed real time data from the log object on a WITSML server.
BENCHMARKING AND REGULATORY REPORTING
WellView supports exports to different industry bench marking initiatives, such as the Rushmore Reviews. PCP and ESP pump failure data can be exported to a RIFTS format.
Clients around the world submit WellView data to regulators in different formats, such as reports, XML and Excel templates.
DATA AUDIT AND QUALITY CONTROL
WellView provides tools to audit data at the time of data entry or as a well review. Custom business rules can be incorporated into the audit logic.
Schematics and reports are also excellent QC tools. Double-click the error and fix the problem. Since the data is normalized, you need to fix it only once, and all reports and tools that use the information are corrected.
WellView uses a soft-key web-based licensing system. No cumbersome bit locks are required. Companies can administer licenses themselves using a simple web interface.

Peloton started developing WellView in 1991, with a focus on making well production operations and schematic well history easier to analyze and monitor. To further complete the lifecycle of a well, we then expanded WellView for drilling data management in 1997, further expanded to geological in 2005, and incorporated well integrity in 2014. The data model continues to evolve, as the well data requirements expand.
The current releases have continued to build on the strength of previous versions by enhancing WellView’s data model, visualization tools, administration tools and analytical abilities.

The schematic is a drawn from data visualizer. It allows you to analyze your equipment downhole, throughout the life of the well. The schematic templates can be customized for specific users and workflows. Any-depth based data can be displayed and correlated in the schematic.

MULTI CURVE ANALYSIS
This tool is available to compare depth-based logs. It is an interactive tool designed for analysis. The tool displays the log curves beside relevant WellView data (Formations, Phases, BHAs).
EXCEL AND 3RD PARTY ANALYSIS
The report engine in WellView allows you to pass data to Excel templates right within the application, allowing users to leverage Excel for analysis—using pivot tables, graphs, math functions, etc.
It is possible to connect 3rd party visualizers to the WellView database. For optimal performance, access to calculated values and units of choice connect the analysis tool to the MasterView Data Warehouse.
INTEGRATION WITH PELOTON PRODUCTS
The Peloton MasterView Well Lifecycle Integrator allows integration between WellView, SiteView, RigView, ProdView, and LandView. The integrated workflow helps streamline business processes for scheduling jobs and tracking approval processes.
- RigView: Updates to the planned start date of jobs in the RigView® schedule are linked to dates for job tasks in WellView.
- SiteView: In SiteView, users can view relevant well data imported from WellView. When WellView and SiteView jobs are linked, users can consolidate costs for a shared AFE. For water tracking, companies can set up water sources in SiteView and transfer consumed volumes from WellView.
- ProdView: ProdView can share data from WellView, including general well details, zones, completions and jobs.
- LandView: Import well information from WellView into land files, such as contracts and mineral.
Peloton supports commercial integration (built and maintained by Peloton), including WITSML static and real time imports, LAS and WellView® XML.
Peloton custom programming, 3rd party custom programming, and client custom programming are all possible.
WellView Schematic Visualizer
ONE SOURCE FOR VIEWING DOWNHOLE DATA
A noteworthy feature in WellView is the drawn-from-data schematic. The schematic is built from the downhole and surface equipment details entered into the database, including depths, lengths, diameters and dates. The result is a visual overview of each well, with a myriad of options to customize the display.
The schematic is integrated with the data, not a separate drawing tool. All users can have access to the most up to date details as well as the history. The schematic provides an excellent QA tool to check the underlying data. Missing and inaccurate details are highlighted in the drawing.
The schematic has configuable templates. Enter the data once, and use the templates to present in different ways for different types of users, such as geology, drilling, completions, production and well servicing.
Configurable displays can show the following:
- Directional views show the orientation of the well, drawn directly from the survey data.
- Failure records can be linked to the failed component(s). Icons for the failed item are visible in the schematic.
Well barrier envelopes can be displayed to visually monitor changes to the barrier state over time.
Schematic images can be incorporated into reports.
